All White Bridal Shower from Reader!

Recently, I received an email from one of my blog readers, Kiksha Constantine.  She was inspired by the All White Bridal Shower I did for Jackie (here) and sent me a few pictures of how she used it as inspiration for an All White Shower she planned & decorated for a whopping 120 guests!  I think she did a fabulous job on it! Check out some of the pictures:

A Few Other Projects I Did for Bridal Shower

We decided to go with wine glasses for the favors. I found this really cool company, Ten23 Designs, that makes custom vinyl decals.  Lauren, who runs the company, was great to work with!  I just sent her what I wanted on the decal and she created the decals.  They ran around $1.60 or so each and were pretty easy to put on glasses.  All you have to do is peel the clear part of label back (as pictured below) and then place it on whatever surface you are putting it on and rub it a little.

Peel off the clear part and walah .... all done! Easy, right?

I made these programs for the bridal shower. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pics showing how I put them together but it's a pretty basic program. Included in it was a welcome message to guests and a few of the games for shower.  I needed a neat way to bound the programs so I sewed them with my sewing machine down the sides.

Doing the napkins and forks was another easy project.  All I did was roll a fork in each napkin.  I created some labels and glued them round each one. Lastly, I added a cute little bow to them.

I used these votive candles from Micheal's to decorate the dessert table.  I caught them on sale for only $4.99 a box.  I purchased the lace paper from Joann's and cut it in strips. Then I wrapped each strip around the votive and secured with hot glue.  Another cute and super easy project! :)

Bridal Shower Chair for Bride-to-Be

Every bride-to-be has to have a special chair at her bridal shower!  Of  course I wanted to come up with something really cute but I didn't quite know what I would do for it.  Then while out fabric shopping in NY one day, I came across this beautiful fabric!!!

Kinda pricey....It ran about $35 a yard but it was screaming for me to take it home so I couldn't let it down right? lol

Anywho, I decided to use this fabric to make a chair cover for the bride-to-be's chair for shower.   I immediately knew I wanted it to kinda look like a wedding dress.  So since I knew we would be renting white wood folding chairs for the shower, I rented one to use for a day and made the chair cover.

First thing I did was make the top portion of the chair cover as seen below:

Next I made the seat cushion and started adding tulle around the bottom as pictured below:

Next I cut some of the flowers from the fabric and added them around the edges of the seat
cushion to cover the spaces. I also added ribbons on each side so they could be tied under seat to keep cushion in place.

I still had the pins in fabric in this pic, but this is the final outcome. I think it came out too cute! :)

This past Saturday was my besties, Jackie's Bridal Shower! We did an all white theme and it turned out great! Most importantly, our bride-to-be loved everything!!  I did the decor and the food was done by our other bestie and aspiring caterer, Karee! She did an amazing job! We had Nicole from Girl Photography come out to take pictures. I'm sure she captured everything much better than I did with my photos...lol.  Can't wait to see her pics. But for now, check out a few of my pics and stay tuned for updates on how I made some of the items for the shower!
