Today's real wedding feature is on Natasha & Demarkus. The charming couple met at Irvington High School in NJ, but weren't friends, just barely associates. In 2006, they both joined the committee to plan their 10 year class reunion and after a few months of working together, they realized a very strong connection. They ignored it at first, but Natasha decided to invite Demarkus out on a date to shoot pool and they've been inseparable ever since!! They dated for 7 months before Demarkus proposed two days before Christmas that year.
The couple wed on June 7, 2008 at the Doubletree Hotel in Marietta, GA in front of 225 guests.
Natasha get a gold star in the DIY Club because she designed and created her bridesmaids dresses, menu cards, escort cards, and wedding programs. Her hubby created their wedding broom and assembled all of the cards. Natasha also created the aisle runner and stage covering by sewing gold braided trim to about 50 yards of off-white muslin and Demarkus assembled it all on the morning of the wedding! (Wow, now thats teamwork! )
Natasha said she fell in love with Demarkus' mind and knew he was the one because she didn't have to think about whether he was the one. "I guess you could say that love came and knocked us down...lol. It definitely snuck up on us and it came so naturally that we didn't even notice it." says Natasha.
Such a cute story! :)
Check out some pics from their beautiful wedding! I loved their pictures!
